Bulgarian wrestlers began with a flaying start the 3th World Deaf Wrestling Championships in Sofia (3-8 September). In 120 kg. Category in Greco-Roman style Ilian Iliev won a silver medal. He lost at a final with 0:2 from the Russian Daniil Ivanov who took the title. In the semifinal Iliev won with 2:1 against Hairatcan (Kaz).
Hristo Pavlov (84 kg) took the bronze after defeated Calestrov (MDA) with 2:0. His road to the final was stopped by the Armenian Nikoghosyan who won with 2:0.
The veteran in Bulgarian team Angel Kremov (55 kg) took 5th place and his team mate Plamen Donchev finished 7th.
In free style Bulgarian team won third position with 49 pts. after Turkey - 67 and Russia - 57. Plamen Donchev (66 kg) won silver medal when he was defeated in the final from Sabahatin Goesel (TUR).
Bulgarian wrestlers took two more medals - bronze. Angel Kremov (55 kg) increased his reach collection stayed on third position and Ilian Iliev (120 kg) won his second medal from the championship.
The championship was opened by Rebecca Adam - a Board member of ICSD. Welcome speech was held by the Sports Minister - Mr. Svilen Neykov. The championship is held under the patronage of the Mayor of Sofia - Mrs. Jordanka Fandakova.
